I got an email this morning from a guy called Jeff Lawrence from the U.S., his company Sonicko Consulting utilizes Google Analytics software to custom tailor web analytics packages for website clients.

This is a service we currently provide as well however our analytics service is not as focused owing to the weak market demand for website analytics in PNG.

Jeff basically wanted to exchange website links with our company because he noticed that both our companies were listed quite high on Google. I was quite surprised too when I saw it, but low and behold Masalai is 7th in the entire online world on google for the words ‘google analytics consulting’.

For those of you that do not know what Google Analytics is about visit our website for more information and links. We are already providing this service for 13 of our website clients, but the busy ones of note are Post PNG, Tourism Promotion Authority, Kumul Lodge, Surfing Association of PNG, Community Based Tourism Foundation

Just to give you an idea of their stats, here are some numbers:

• Tourism Promotion Authority for the month of December 2006, 3,125 hits and 15,334 page views
• Post PNG for the month of December 2006, 1,734 hits and 5,916 page views
• Surfing Association of PNG for the month of December 2006, 463 hits and 2,624 page views

So for those of you out there who want to know who is visiting your website and how many times and even more, keep in mind that this is a free service and we can help you install Google Analytics for your website.
