Saw both these ads in yesterday’s National newspaper…Side by Side. Are we about to see the start of a marketing war??
My guess about the actual mobile services coming our way from both these companies will be that a huge number of people will sign up with Digicel just to see what they are like. This will probably go on for about a year then after that when things settle abit and people can assesses who is better for them then the real choices to commit to a mobile company will occur.

Hey guys, I was in samoa in 06 when digicel launched its products in APIA, everywhere was digicel craze, from posters, banners, red PMVs, load musik, give aways, to the dancing girls on the side walks wearing red, and when walking around in town, all you could hear was the hiphop ring tones all over the streets…it was a heck of a fiesta. BTW, they also had a trade in special, you bring in your old fones with SAMOTEL simcards, get it valued, and you can get a new digicel fone with digicel sim without having to pay a cent…was that a deal or what.
