An Act of God

By Emmanuel Narokobi

This might be an insensitive time to bring this up, so I apologise in advance if anyone finds this offensive, but I was chatting with a friend of mine yesterday and he made a comment about Belden Namah and the Samoan property Belden had facilitated as an investment arrangement between one of his overseas business partners and his local Samoan partner.

I wonder if that property is still standing after the tsunami? It would be interesting to see who claims Insurance (if any) after this ‘Act of God’.

  1. Good one. Most agreements do have a “waiver” against Acts of GOD. So yeah, find out if the property was damaged.
