Dignity is in the Eye of the Beholder

Got this email some minutes ago from a Dan Yansom:

“You may have heard, read or seen this article in the media towards the end of May 2010. If you have, then delete. Otherwise, please read on.

The British Finance Secretary (Finance Minister, in PNG’s case) resigned from his position because it was alleged that while he was living in his own house, he was using his housing allowance (taxpayers money) to pay the rental for his partner.

Now! Read this interesting comment from the newly elected British Prime Minister. He said, “I thank you for upholding the integrity of the Finance Secretary’s Office and your own personal integrity by resigning. I wish you all the best as you prepare to undergo further investigations by the relevant authorities on this matter. I intend to welcome you back
in Cabinet if the authorities clear you of this allegation”.

SEEMS SO TRIVIAL, BUT YET VERY IMPORTANT IN THE EYES OF THE BRITISH PEOPLE.

IN PNG, ONE WILL GO TO ANY LENGTH USING COURT INJUNCTIONS, STAY ORDERS,
ETC….ETC….ETC….TO CLING ONTO POWER AND PERFORM VERY IMPORTANT STATE FUNCTIONS WHILE INVESTIGATIONS ARE CONDUCTED. NO WONDER NUMEROUS INVESTIGATIONS ARE INCOMPLETE BECAUSE THE ALLEGED PERSONS ARE STILL
AROUND THE CORRIDORS EXERTING SOME CONTROL OVER WHAT SHOULD BE EXPOSED AND WHAT NOT TO.

Have an enjoyable weekend.”

  1. Emmanuel,They have to go back to the cave whence they came!!!

When something is so good (position held) and one has a lot to lose. Also they will go out of their way to stop at nothing to “STAY PUT”; tell lies, stop others telling the truth about the issues concerning them, threaten others and so on.They know once they are out from the that Office they are holding; bai ol i makim wan, he will be a nobody. In effect they have Nothing to go back to so in dare desparation they will do everything their uneducated narrow tunnel vision mind comes up with.

All “lose lain”,nogat save and what little save they have is worth Absolutely nothing. They are fit to be street sweepers and cleaners of public toilets. They are not worth a toea. They are just lose buggers,I wish they go back to the cave where they belong.A lot of good they are!!!???!!!Bl..dy D..gs!!!

  2. Power is addictive; one will get to greater lengths and stop at nothing when one tasted it and succumb to the privileges, honor, wealth and fortunes that comes with it.
We have a fragile democracy not absolute, often we smell somethings rotten in the core of our constitution which questions its integrity which needs immediate redress to allow justice to prevail. However since one is already addicted would stop at nothing, use all the means at his or her disposal to cling to it till his last breath.
Manipulate the system using ones position to claim innocence isn’t transparent. Why do we have these unscrupulous beings without the heart for people? It is good for them never to be born. To stop arguing we have to assert ourselves that PNG is not a democracy as current turn of events in the parliament, it totalitarian regime or dictatorship. Believe me its Mugabe’s reign in PNGuinea.
