The new Australian Parliamentary Secretary for Pacific Island Affairs and Multicultural Affairs the Hon. Matt Thistlethwaite will visit Papua New Guinea from 14-18 April 2013. This will be Senator Thistlethwaite’s first trip to Papua New Guinea.
During his visit Senator Thistlethwaite will meet with senior members of the Government of Papua New Guinea. He will make the keynote address to the 29th Australia Papua New Guinea Business Forum and Trade Expo and will also attend the 8th Commonwealth Youth Minister’s Meeting.
Senator Thistlethwaite will visit Bomana War Cemetery to pay his respect to all those service men and women who gave their lives in defence of Papua New Guinea and Australia during the Second World War.
His program will also include a visit to the Australian supported Pacific Adventist University School of Midwifery.
