National ICT Authority and Bank of PNG to Participate at the 2011 ICT & INNOVATION EXPO
The National ICT Authority (NICTA) and Bank of PNG (BPNG) will be exhibiting at the 2011 ICT and INNOVATION EXPO from Friday 5th and Saturday 6th AUGUST at the Sir John Guise Indoor Stadium.
The intention of the ICT and INNOVATION EXPO is to provide a middle of the road opportunity for the ICT ecosystem to collaborate in profiling the industry and showcase the importance and impact it has on the development aspirations of Papua New Guinea. Whether one is a vendor of ICT products and services, mobile phone operators, ICT professionals, the ICT infrastructure and national assets such as radio wave spectrum, the customers and consumers of ICT including households, businesses, educational institutions and government all form part of ICT ecosystem of any nation.
Papua New Guinea is on the verge of greater things to come with two successful national reforms that are game changers in their own industries for the benefit of the masses; firstly the reforms in the finance industry under the watchful eye of Sir Mekere’s Government and currently the prevailing reforms in the ICT sector under the National Alliance Government.
NICTA and BPNG’s participation as regulators beside other roles they play in their respective industries is a welcome sign of the solidarity for the ICT ecosystem coming together to showcase the importance and impact of ICT in our country.
